Chochmat HaLev Spring Retreat!

Want a general overview of the retreat? Check out chochmat.org/retreat

Join us for the first ever Chochmat HaLev Community Retreat!

For the first time in 31 years, Chochmat HaLev is hosting an overnight retreat, and you definitely don’t want to miss it. This is your chance to step out of the everyday and into a full weekend of connection, creativity, and soul-nourishing fun. We’ll share meals, sing quietly (and LOUDLY), move our bodies, laugh a lot, rest deeply, and dive into rich, meaningful conversations that bring people closer – fast. Through music, movement, prayer, play, reflection, and powerful small-group experiences, we’ll build real chavurah: sacred spiritual friendship that lingers long after the weekend ends. You’ll head home energized, inspired, and feeling a deeper resonance with this community and your own Judaism. The kind of resonance that reminds you why you showed up in the first place.

How Registration Works:

We expect the retreat to fill up quickly and we will sell out.

  • Member Registration: January 15th.
  • Non-Member Registration: Early to Mid-February (If tickets are still available)

Registration is first come, first served. The sooner you register, the better chance you’ll have at getting a ticket + your preferred lodging choice.

Members receive priority registration and reduced ticket pricing.

If Chochmat HaLev has nourished you spiritually and you believe in our mission, now is a great time to give back and become a member today. You can join now and help sustain the community you love. We offer flexible membership tiers to reach a range of budgets. (Members who join before January 25th are invited to participate in our New Member Ritual with Rabbi Zvika Krieger on that date.)

Accommodation Types + Rates

Camp Newman offers a range of comfortable, heated, indoor lodging options. You may choose from shared cabins (classic summer-camp style), lodge rooms that sleep 2–4 people, or a limited number of private rooms with two twin beds. (Camp Newman offers more private and semi-private accommodations than any other retreat center in the area, which is why we chose this site. Still, these options are limited and will be prioritized for participants with specific needs).

While we will do our best to honor everyone’s lodging preferences, we gently invite you to consider shared accommodations. Many retreat-goers say that some of the most joyful and meaningful moments of the weekend come from staying in shared rooms with people who began as strangers.

ADA Accommodation options:
Both cabins and lodge rooms include ADA-accessible options. If you require ADA-accessible lodging, please indicate this during registration.

Roommates:
For all lodging types, you may register as a couple or family, or as an individual and be paired with a roommate/roommates. You may request roommate preferences during registration.

Rates:
Rates are per person and based on accommodation type.
The cost per person covers your stay for 2 nights, 6 meals + snacks, and all programming.
Chochmat HaLev is not making a profit from this retreat — we’re actually subsidizing it — so please pay at the highest rate you can.

Adult Information

Planning a retreat takes a great deal of work and is 99% volunteer-run. All retreat participants will have a volunteer shift during the retreat itself. If you’d like to get involved earlier by joining a retreat planning subcommittee, we’d love to have you. These hours can count toward your required 10 annual member volunteer hours.
