7:00 PM - 9:00 PMChochmat HaLev

Join Zvika and guests in chants and a meditation circle. Share support, care, and the sweetness of our community as we prepare to enter Shabbat. Register in advance for a limited number of seats in our Sanctuary. COVID protocols will apply.

We need volunteers to help us check people in and to serve as greeters. If you are interested in volunteering and able to arrive by 6:15, please contact the office to let them know at shalom@chochmat.org

Our Covid Considerations:

Our team has been closely tracking the public health guidelines from the CDC, State of California, Alameda County, and City of Berkeley, and we are encouraged by both the sharp decline in COVID cases and the high vaccination rates in our area. With the assistance of our resident Medical Advisor, Rachel Kreps-Falk, a physician and public health professional, Chochmat HaLev feels confident that our reopening plan protects the health and safety of our community in response to the Covid pandemic. Here are the specific steps we will take to safely re-open our synagogue:

➢ Vaccination Status: We believe that the best precaution for you and for everyone in our community is to be fully vaccinated, so we are limiting our in-person events to fully vaccinated people (2 vaccinations and booster), other than those under 5.

➢ Masks: We will require masks for everyone 2 years and older indoors.

➢ Physical Distancing and Ventilation: We will have a capacity limit for indoor Chochmat events. We will do the best we can to optimize air flow with open windows and air filters.

We are looking forward to a return to dancing, singing, and seeing the faces of our beloved community! Please be mindful that everyone has their own comfort level and respect individual needs and wishes by asking others what they are comfortable with, before shaking hands or going in for a hug. Fist and elbow bumps are still a great way to connect with others!

We will continue to monitor real-life conditions and adjust these guidelines as necessary. We welcome your questions or concerns as they arise. Thank you for doing your part to keep our beloved community healthy and safe, and we can’t wait to see you in person very soon!

Please note, these rules apply only to healthy adults and children. If you are sick with any type of symptoms, whether or not they are associated with COVID, please stay at home.

Sorry, Registration has ended.
